I am the atypical matriarch of a medium-size family of three grown children and two granddaughters. Our family is spread across the country nowadays and it takes increased creativity to celebrate meaningfully. My dear family helped hone the strategies I will be sharing. When I am not contemplating Christmas, I am writing, painting, or taking photographs around the world and in Jacksonville Beach, Florida.
My Inspiration
Our best Christmas won’t be experienced until they can say of us what was said of Ebenezer Scrooge at the end of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, “… that he knew how to keep Christmas well, if any man alive possessed the knowledge. May that be truly said of us, and all of us! And so, as Tiny Tim observed, God bless Us, Every One!”
